Nonpoint Source Section 319 grant guidance is now available at www.npscolorado.com/319guide.htm. The deadline for submitting fiscal year 2008 proposals is Jan. 11, 2008.

The NPS Alliance plans to offer technical assistance for potential Nonpoint Source Section 319 project sponsors on Dec. 12, 2007.

Over 250 participants attended the second annual Sustaining Colorado’s Watersheds conference in Breckenridge in early October.  The three-day event featured an interactive networking session, breakout presentations, nonpoint source project management training and 40 informational displays. Aurora project to help set green standards (NPS-related article)

A $2 billion Aurora project will be among the first in Colorado to take part in a nationwide effort to set sustainable building and planning standards for residential developments. Horizon City Center, at the southwest corner of Interstate 70 and E-470, will participate in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND) pilot program.
